The Start of Me and You-Emery Lord

Good Day or Evening Bibliophiles. . .depending on where you are in the world. Today i'll be talking about The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord, I've had this book for a month! Good Day Bibliophiles🎵♫🎜 After reading When Breathe Becomes Air , I mentioned in my blog post that I listened to music while reading the first and last pages of this book. Thing is I love music just as much as I love books; I've found that I do enjoy listening to music while reading my book most of the time. This got me thinking about all the other books I have read and what song best suited the book at the time. I thought its only fair that I share my playlist so far. I would say the reason for this would be the contents of this book; there's a lot of information to digest, to understand, to sympathize with . . . and even relate to? Blurb "When a newborn baby dies after a routine hospital procedure, there is no doubt about who will be held responsible: the nurse who had been banned from looking after him by his father.  What the nurse , her lawyer and the father of the child cannot know is how death will irrevocably change all of their lives , in ways both expected and not.  Small Great Things is about prejudice and power; it is about that which divides us and unites us." This book tackles prejudice and racism, homophobia in the most phenomenal ways. Three characters Ruth Jefferson an African American nurse, Turk Bauer the white supremacist and Kennedy, Ruths lawyer and baby Davis.  T
